Zachary Ames
Zachary Ames has worked in human resources and coaching roles since 2009. He specializes in talent management, leadership coaching and development, succession planning, and career pathing.
Most recently, Zachary was an Asia-Pacific (APAC) Regional Talent Partner for Bloomberg. In this role, based in Singapore, he managed the Local Leadership Accelerator program to identify, develop, and place local talent into senior roles across the region. Working across business areas including sales, data, engineering, news, media, and operations, he also led the global redesign of a curriculum for first-time leaders.
Zachary was previously the Global DEI Learning Specialist, responsible for delivering Unconscious Bias training to Bloomberg’s people leaders and managers worldwide and overseeing leadership development for all ERG chapters. Prior to Bloomberg, Zachary was Manager, Central Education at Bloomingdale’s, where he designed a new curriculum, created the Analyst Development Program, managed new hire and internship orientation programs, and oversaw employee engagement evaluations.
Zachary received his Bachelors of Science in Economics with a concentration in Management and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Utah State University. Zachary is also certified by the International Coaches Federation as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). He currently sits on the USU Alumni Board and volunteers with UK-based We Create Space as an advocate for mental health and community among LGBTQ+ leaders.
